Community Health Fair

In the wake of multiple overdoses and ongoing community trauma, The Flowers Whiting Initiative has launched a sustained, people-powered intervention at the Penn North corridor, ground zero for both crisis and resilience in West Baltimore.

We are responding to a troubling pattern of violence, addiction, and police-involved shootings targeting individuals in mental health crisis. These realities demand more than reaction; they require a consistent, compassionate presence.

Each week, our team and trusted partners engage residents with essential services including harm reduction supplies, mental health support, housing navigation, and grief counseling. Our goal is simple: to show up for people who feel forgotten.

This is what healing looks like—grounded in love, rooted in equity, and sustained by collective care. We invite you to join us in transforming Penn North into a corridor of connection and hope.
