Our Services

Our Peer Navigators are the heart of The Flowers Whiting Initiative. Each navigator brings lived experience with the justice system, reentry, and recovery, offering real understanding, empathy, and guidance to those just starting their journey.

Trained in trauma-informed care, our navigators support participants by:

  • Building trust through shared experience

  • Helping identify goals and immediate needs

  • Connecting individuals to housing, mental health care, employment, and other critical services

  • Providing encouragement, accountability, and ongoing support

Resource Mapping

Our Resource Mapping service helps returning citizens identify and connect with essential community resources. From housing and mental health care to food access, transportation, and employment services, we work one-on-one to create personalized action plans that eliminate barriers and promote stability. This holistic approach ensures every individual knows where to turn—and how to move forward.

At The Flowers Whiting Initiative, we believe every returning citizen deserves a fair chance at meaningful employment. Stable work is a critical step toward self-sufficiency, personal growth, and community reintegration. Through our network of employer partners and fair chance hiring advocates, we help connect returning citizens to companies that support second chances and value lived experience.

Employment Support

At The Flowers Whiting Initiative, we recognize that untreated trauma, mental health challenges, and substance use are often barriers to successful reentry. Our goal is to provide judgment-free, culturally responsive support that helps individuals heal and rebuild.
